Prof. Dr. Andrei Lupas

Director at the Max Planck Institute for Biology since 2001. His research interests cover the relationships between sequence, structure, and chemical mechanism in proteins from an evolutionary perspective. He obtained his PhD at Princeton University (1985 - 1991) and worked at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (1997-2001) before joining the Max Planck Society

Prof. Dr. Dek Woolfson

Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Bristol University since 2005. His research interests cover the sequence-structure-relationship of proteins, as well as protein design. He obtained his PhD at the University of Cambridge (1987 - 1991) and worked at the University of Sussex (1996 - 2005) before moving to Bristol.
